We installed James Hardie® board-and-batten panels in “Driftwood Gray,” then boxed each window with matte-black trim for sharp contrast. The dramatic clerestory pop-up was reinsulated, reflashed, and wrapped in warm cedar, flooding the interior with daylight while giving the roofline a modern lift.

A CertainTeed Landmark® roof in “Charcoal Black” pairs with color-matched gutters and downspouts to disappear beneath the evergreen canopy and handle heavy Northwest rainfall. Two low-profile skylights bring filtered woodland light into the kitchen.

We clad the daylight-basement volume and three-car garage in smooth lap siding painted “Ink Black,” grounding the structure and echoing the new black entry door and railings. Drought-tolerant ferns, boxwood spheres, and river-rock edging frame a fresh concrete path, tying the residence seamlessly to its woodland setting.
