At TOV Siding & Roofing, our team transformed this tired 1970s split-level into a statement of Northwest-modern design. We grounded the first floor in smooth, charcoal-painted brick for maintenance-free durability and a dramatic, low-profile silhouette. The main level received new vertical knotty-cedar cladding, custom-stained in a warm autumn hue that echoes the surrounding maples and firs.
To unify the home and detached garage, we installed architectural-grade shingles in “Black Walnut,” then tied everything together with black fascia, gutters, and downspouts that virtually disappear into the shadow lines. Slim, matte-black aluminum railings with cable infill replaced bulky balusters, opening sightlines across the full-width balcony. Energy-efficient black-frame windows punctuate the cedar, adding rhythm while flooding the interior with natural light.
Out back, we added a cedar-wrapped pavilion to create a three-season lounge that mirrors the home’s finishes. Re-graded lawns, fresh rockery walls, and drought-tolerant plantings complete a cohesive, elevated curb appeal—just minutes from downtown Seattle.
